Version 4.9, April 17, 2014

This version provides the following new features:

1) C11: The front end now supports C11 (using the --c11 option). All of
the C11 language is supported, but the optional atomic feature is not yet
supported. This will be supported in a future release.

2) C++14: The following C++14 features are now supported (using the --c++14
   option):

   - decltype(auto)
   - deduced function return types (also known as auto return type)
   - field initializers for aggregates
   - "deprecated" attribute

3) Clang mode: The front end now provides a clang mode (using --clang and
--clang_version options). Clang mode currently enables GNU mode and
a few clang-specific features/emulations (see the Changes file for more
details). In particular, it enables the clang __has_feature and
   related facilities.

4) GNU function multiversioning: This feature uses a "target" attribute
to determine, at load time, which version of a function should be
called, thereby allowing the user to take advantage of features that
may be available on a particular CPU.

5) Preliminary support for C++/CX: The Microsoft C++/CX dialect is now
supported (using the --cppcx option), although that support is
preliminary at this point. It is considered "preliminary" in that a
number of refinements are planned in the near future, but the resulting
changes are not expected to dramatically affect the IL representation.
Lowering of C++/CX is not supported.

As usual, we have fixed bugs, added many minor features, and continued to
improve our various compatibility modes. See the Changes_4.9 file for
full details (about 3,500 lines).
